Extension lectures organized at Changran 12/28/2015 10:29:50 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Dec 28: Extension lectures wre organised on the sixth day of the ongoing seven days NSS special camp organized at Changran. BDO Kathua O D Attri, Sarpanch, Changran Panchayat, Kuldeep Singh and Editor-in-Chief of Kathua Kesari, Manuj Kesar delivered lecture on the occasion. BDO Kathua, Attri deliberated on the various schemes launched by Rural Development Department for the betterment of Villages in Kathua district. He specially emphasized on the need of building and using toilets for clean and healthy surroundings. He said that government is sponsoring the construction of toilets in rural households and schools but the main concern is their maintenance which is the responsibility of the beneficiaries. He also discussed the outcome of the socio-economic survey of Changran Village carried out by the NSS Volunteers during the camp and assured early disposal of the pending problems in the village.
