Ramban, Dec 28: A meeting of all National Health Mission (NHM) Employees of District Ramban was held at Community Hall Ramban here today which was held under the Chairmanship of Dr Arif Showket wherein various issues and problems of NHM Employees were discussed in length and breadth.
In the meeting scores of NHM Employees including Doctors, Paramedics and Management Staff from Block Banihal, Ukheral, Batote, Gool besides staff from District Hospital Ramban also actively participated in the meeting.
During the meeting various long pending issues and demands were highlighted by the different speakers which includes immediate regularization of all NHM Employees under SRO 255, yearly 10% increment in salaries, incentives for paramedics, maternity leave for female with release of salary at par with regular staff, pay disparity, risk allowance, health insurance and other leave benefits at par with regular staff besides the speakers urged upon the State Govt and Health Minister to frame out a draft policy for regularization of NHM Employees so that the future of around 7000-8000 NHM Employees of J&K could be saved.
Meanwhile, a new District body for Ramban District and Block representatives has been constituted in which Dr Hamid Parray was elected as District President, Basharat Hussain an Vice President, Dr Arif Showket as General Secretary, Dr Iftikhar Hussain as Spokesperson, Milad Rasheed as Member Secretary, Dr Tariq as Executive Member Doctors, Dr Waseem Executive Member RBSK, Pradeep Parihar as Executive Member Paramedics, Seema as Executive Member FMPHWs whereas Danish as Block President Batote, Nazish as Block President Banihal and Tariq as Block President Ukheral.
Among others who were present in the meeting includes Dr Sadeeq Akbar, Dr Nasir Masood Indrabi and Faizan Ali Tramboo. |
