Rajouri, Dec 28: Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri has initiated an inquiry into an alleged functioning of fake private school which exists only on the papers in nexus with officials at Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Sunderbani. The matter came to notice when examination forms for 11 students of 8th class enrolled in Nehru Basic Memorial school (NBMS), Sunderbani were sent to Principal District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) by the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) office duly signed by ZEO and endorsed by principal of higher secondary school, Sunderbani being cluster and evaluation head. On some reliable inputs Pardeep Sharma , Principal, DIET had recently conducted surprise visit at the office of ZEO, Sunderbani and after going through the records he didn't find the physical presence of the school. The school as per the records of Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) office, is functioning reportedly in a building of Convent School in Sunderbani. An Official said that vide report No DIET/R/6616 do 19/12/15, Principal DIET has recommended the cancellation of registration/permission of recognisation of the school and action against those who were involved in the functioning of this fake school. "On the recommendations of Principal, DIET, the CEO-Rajouri Ch Altaf Hussain ordered three member team comprising Kundan Lal Raina, Principal Govt Girls Higher Secondary School, Pritam Lal, Zonal Education Project Officer (ZEPO) and Kewal Krishan ,lecturer to inquire the physical existence of NBM School," official added. "During the probe it was established that the institution namely Nehru Basic Memorial School (NBMS) is running only on the papers and students from another unregistered school were shown in its records," official added. |
