Police cracks Banihal theft; one held | | | Early Times Report
Banihal, Dec 28: Police have claimed to crack the theft case in a house in Banihal of Ramban district with the arrest of one accused and recovered some of the stolen items on his disclosures. According to police sources, "Atleast three burglars broke into a house and decamped with house hold items, clothes and other things from a house in Banihal two days ago.' "Three thieves entered the house of a retired district treasury officer Ab Majeed Wani of W- 7 of Kharpora Banihal. The owner and his family were in Jammu on that day and the thieves took the chance and broke into the house and decamp with costly house hold items, police said quoting complainant. Police sources while claiming solving the theft case said, "One of the accused has been arrested when he came to a shop in Banihal market to sell some of stolen items. Accordingly police was informed and police acting swiftly arrested him and during questing he confessed the crime, police said. He also revealed that two more persons are involved with him in this crime. When contacted SHO Banihal Nazir Ahmed Dar said that one person has been arrested and the man hunt is on to nab the absconding two accused. A case in this regard has been registered u/S 457/380 in Police station Banihal while further investigation is on. |
