NMC urges PM to constitute NWC | | | Early Times Report JAMMU: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today urged upon the Prime Minister to constitute National Wage Commission (NWC) to assess and formulate policies for revision of wage structure in respect of working class throughout the country. Addressing a rally of NMC activist, Shastri said that those who are expressing sympathy presently with working class had ample chances to ameliorate their suffering during the periods they clung to power. "That is way the need of the hour is the constitution of the wage commission and this respect favorable vibes and expressions are coming from Prime Minister." he added. He , however stated a word of caution regarding non issuance of notification regarding the 7th pay commission report implementation by the NDA Govt. at the centre. Shastri expressed the hope that Prime Minister will remove any confusion and ambiguity regarding the same and the PDP/BJP coalition Govt. in the state will takes steps to implement recommendations of the 7th pay commission in toto in respect of the employees of the State Govt. and pensioners also besides regularization of the services of sixty one thousand daily rated workers working in various departments in one go. He hoped that State Finance Minister will make provision for the same in the 2016-17 coming budget. Several resolution were adopted in the rally included removal of all pay anomalies of clerical staff under SRO 93, release of 6% DA due from July last, issuance of orders of 180 daily rated workers working in Rural Development Department, enhancement of medical allowance to Rs. 1000 per month and release of all pending wages of daily rated workers working in irrigation and flood control department, PDD, PWD, Agriculture and PHE etc. |
