Jammu, Jan 3: A day after a cable operator was attacked in the city, the attackers are still at large and role of police has come under scanner as victims allege that Police have been trying to shield the attackers eventhough a case was registered at Police station Bakshi Nagar.
According to sources, Sunny Sharma and Abhi Sharma both cable operators along with their employee Deepu, went to the office of another cable operator Surinder Ghai in Resham Ghar area and misbehaved with their business rival. However, avoiding confrontation with them, Ghai went into his house adjacent to his office.
Trio allegedly under the influence of alcohol entered Ghai's residence and thrashed him brutally. they also allegedly thrashed the wife of the victim, when she tried to save her husband from clutches of the attackers.
A case has been registered under relevant sections at Police Station Bakshi Nagar, but no arrest has been made yet despite lapse of a day. Sources further said that one of the attacker, had been arrested under section 307, some time back at same police station. |
