AMT finds poor academic standard at Mandal Nar school

Rajouri, Jan 3: The Academic Monitoring Team found poor academic standard at Mangal Nar Middle School in Manjakote Zone. The government had recently provided 10 teachers for 74 students of the school.
Not only the academic standard was recorded very poor but the team members also found only two teachers and 19 students (out of 74) present in the school at the time of inspection. Shakeela Akhter, Nusrat Begam, Mohd Amraz, Parvaiz Ahmed, Amtiaz Begam & Khalida Begam all Rehber-eTaleem (ReT) teachers were found on unauthorized absent from duty.
The inspection team also noted that no mid day meal (MDM) was served to the students since a long time and misappropriation of MDM funds can't be ruled out besides.
"Evaluated answer scripts of the students forT-1 examination were also missing from the school record and for all these deficiency headmaster failed to explain his position" said a senior official of education department.
Inspection team also suggested that the services of surplus staff can be utilized in the schools for the academic support to the students where the strength of staff is very thin.
On the report of Academic Monitoring Team, Ch Altaff Hussain, CEO has stopped the salary of all the teachers who were found on an unauthorized absent at the time of visit of inspection team besides seeking their explanation on poor academic performance of the students.
CEO has also directed Zonal Education Officer to arrange their (teachers) explanations through Cluster Head (principal Patrara HSS) within 7 days for further necessary action and also submit fresh proposal for the adjustment of surplus staff in the schools having deficiency of teaching staff.
Chief Education officer also directed to retain the services of Mohammad Gias teachers at his place of posting at middle school at Patrara who was directed telephonically by the ZEO to move to middle school at Mangal Nar for academic support of the students. He also directed ZEO to forward to his office the leave account of all the staff members for the year 2015 within 7 days.
