Jammu, Jan 3: An army Jawan, who was undergoing treatment in Military Hospital here, today succumbed to his injuries. He was identified as Lance Naik Hanumat, son of Bartara of Kanoor,Karnataka. His body was shifted to GMCH for post-mortem.
The army jawan, who was posted with 10 Regiment Engineering at Satwari, was undergoing treatment since January 1 when he was taken out from a river at Nagrota here in an unconscious condition. His boat was said to have capsized.
A police officer said his parents had been informed and after post-mortem, the body would be handed over to army. |
