SRINAGAR, Jan 3: The University of Kashmir has appointed senior administrator Mohammad Shafi Sumbli as Incharge Registrar after the incumbent Musadiq Sahaf was injured in an accident.
A senior official in the KU told Vice Chancellor Khursheed Iqbal Andrabi has appointed Sumbli on Saturday to take charge of the Registrar till Sahaf joins back.
Sumbli, who is special secretary to VC, has 30 years of administrative experience in the varsity. Being a one of the senior faculty members, he has held the posts of Director Convocation, Deputy Registrar and Deputy Examination Controller and other vital posts during his service.
The official said that the employees have hailed the appointment of Sumbli as Incharge Registrar.
