KPC condemns Omar for making all efforts to trigger political storm in state over 'flag issue' | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 3: Jammu Jan 02: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has welcomed the J&K High Court order through which court has stayed a single-bench order directing the state government to hoist the state flag on official buildings alongside tricolor and at the same time condemned former Chief minister of J&K State, Omar Abdullah who is making all efforts to trigger a political storm in the state over the 'flag issue.' In a press statement issued from New Delhi, Kundan Kashmiri KPC Chief reiterated the demand of one constitution, one flag and one leader in the state of J&K In a meeting held at New Delhi today the KPC Chief criticized Omar Abdullah, former Chief minister of J&K State, who is making all efforts to trigger a political storm in the state over the flag and other issues for his personal and political interests. KPC has also taken serious exception to reported move of the Government to disband the VDCs in the State and observed that the VDCs have done a yeoman's service to the State to eliminate the militancy in combating terrorism and their services needs to be utilized for this purpose. Kundan Kashmiri further stated that disband the VDC,s would be another Himalayan blunder on the part of the Govt as it was done in respect of Pro- Indian Ikhwans and other renegades who were ignored, isolated and rather allowed to get eliminated in past. Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) today, again reiterated its demand for the pilgrimage to world famous Sharda Shrine situated in Muzaffrabad in Pak occupied Kashmir (PoK) and urged the union government to take up the issue with Pakistan in a scheduled foreign ministers meeting to be held on January 15. |
