PDP-BJP coalition fails on all fronts, says Ajaz Jan | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, Jan 3 : Provincial Youth National Conference President, Jammu Ajaz Jan on Sunday castigated PDP-BJP coalition for failing miserably, during the past ten months of its nightmarish misgovernance, in arrying forward the developmental tempo started and sustained by the National Conference Government and said the problems of people have accumulated manifold due to abject neglect. "Wrong policies being pursued by the insensitive government have caused enormous sufferings to the people especially in remote, hilly and border areas of the State", Jan said while addressing workers meeting here this afternoon. He said that instead of concentrating on governance and development, the coalition government was pursuing divisive agenda to divide the people on regional and religious lines. "We will thwart all these machinations, as National Conference believes in the single entity of Jammu and Kashmir in which all segments of society irrespective of caste, creed or colour enjoy equal opportunities of progress and development", Jan said and hoped that the people will maintain the bonds of amity and unity which has been hallmark of the state. The Provincial Youth National Conference President said the people of Jammu and Kashmir are politically mature and sagacious enough to see through the game plan of the political entities, who despite being ideologically poles apart, were germinating the seeds of mistrust on the basis of region and religion. Referring to the enhancement of numeration of the SPOs, Jan said the increase had been recommended by the Omar Abdullah led government. The meeting was addressed by prominent office bearers of the party who dwelt on local issues and expressed concern over the lackadaisical attitude of the government in assuaging the aspirations of the people. |
