Jammu, Jan 3 : On the eve of 185th birthday of first woman teacher of India, Mata Savitri Bai Phule, the new modern school titled “Savitri Bai Phule Modern School” was opened in Dolian, Ward No. 8, Near Army Cantt, Bari-Brahamna today. the idea of opening this school was to give quality education to downtrodelen and poor people of the area irrespective of religion and caste. This was stated by Sunita Bangotra Principal, DTM convent hr. sec-school, Ratnal, Bishnah who is also the founder and Head of the Savitri Bai Phule Modern School The School was inaugurated by local ex-corporator Bhachan Lal Bhagat, who was also the Chief Guest. Sunita Bangotra, in her welcome address said that the story of Savitri bai phule and her's is somewhat same and she choose this day to open this school because the Birth annivrsary of Savitri Bai Phule falls on this day. This school will cater Pre-nursery, Nursery, LKG, UKG and Ist initially. I.D. Soni, State Commissioner, Bharat Scouts & Guide, who was guest of honour shower praise on Madam Sunita for taking this initiative. Other who were present include Ex-CEO Tarsem Lal Moolniwasi, Raj Bharti, Rattan Lal Bangotra, T.R.Azad, Kuldeep Angral and many others.
