1/7/2016 11:21:52 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, Jan 7 : The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Wednesday announced the India-A squad for the Deodhar Trophy which includes the name of Kashmir's star cricketer, Parvez Rasool.
The India-A and India-B teams feature all the prominent Ranji Trophy performers this season including the top run-getters like Shreyas Iyer of Mumbai, Sudip Chatterjee of Bengal, Parvez Rasool of J&K and one of the leading wicket-takers, Krishna Das of Assam. "I am happy but do not want to think much about this India-A recall. My job is to take wickets and score runs and I know I will be rewarded. The domestic fixture keeps players like me ready for the call-ups like this," Parvez said. "Whenever I have been given a chance at top level, I have grabbed it with both hands. I believe in hard work and never take things lightly. My job is to go in the middle and give my hundred percent which I always do. So far whatever chances I have been given I have excelled and proven my worth," he told Greater Kashmir. The revamped version of the tournament, which earlier featured zonal teams, will now have India-A and B sides apart from the Vijay Hazare Trophy champions, Gujarat.
The tournament is slated to be held between January 24 and 28 and will feature four 50-over matches across five days. "Our side looks well balanced and Rayudu is top-level cricketer who has proven his worth at every level. He understands cricket very well and I am sure under his captainship I will be able to deliver good for the team," Parvez said.
