Law School wins by 62 runs in inter-college T20 | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 18 : Sailing on superb batting display by Shahrukh Khan, Law School today registered a fine 62 runs win against Government College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) in the ongoing inter-college Twenty20 cricket tournament, organised by Director of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu (JU) on the campus ground, here. Shahrukh hit a fine 51 runs coming off 41 deliveries hitting six fours thereby helped the side made 136 runs for three wickets in allotted 16 overs. Gourav Kapahi contributed 25-ball 41 runs studded with one six and four boundaries while Chander Dev added 17-ball 28 runs. From GCET, Anshuman and Arjun Kapoor shared one wicket each. In reply, GCET could not face the bowling tactics of Law School and bundled out for 74 runs in 13.4 overs. Shivam and Arjun Kapoor were top scorers with 12 and eight runs in their respective accounts. From Law School, Abid clinched three wickets for just 13 runs in 1.4 overs he bowled. Irfan Ghani also bowled well taking away three wickets for 25 runs in three overs. Anil Rathore and Vijender shared two wickets each. Today's match officiated by Saleem-ur-Rehman, Jagtar Singh and Raj Kumar Bakshi as umpires while Manu Khajuria was scorer. |
