Jammu, Jan 27: 67th Republic day was celebrated by locals across Jammu province. Shopkeepers Association Shiva Ji Chowk, Nanak Nagar hoisted the National Flag in connection with 67th Republic Day celebration under its President Ashok Singh Sambyal, General Secretary, Deepak Malhotra, Cashier, Girdhari Lal Gupta in presence of other prominent persons of the area. Speaking on the occasion, President said that Republic Day is the most significant day in the history of the country as this is the day when people of the country gave constitution to themselves. He emphasized on collective efforts to eradicate social evils, preservation and protection of heritage and environment. He also prayed for the peace, progress and prosperity on the occasion.
67th Republic day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the school premises of Govt Girls HSS Reasi by the students and staff. National flag was hoisted by Principal P D Sharma. The students sang the national anthem. At this prestigious occasion the Principal of the institution, stressed upon the staff member and students, the importance and necessity of the event. He further emphasized the students to work hard on their studies, especially to the students of 10th and 12th. . The function was concluded with the distribution of sweets to all the students. |
