Bail denied to Narco- Smugglers 1/28/2016 12:00:43 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 27: 1st Additional Sessions Judge Jammu MA Choudhary rejected the bail of Jagbir Singh and Parveen Singh Narco- Smugglers. As per police report the applicants were signaled to stop on 18.12.2015 at 7.00 PM near Raipur Satwari Morh when the duo were holding two white coloured polythene bags, fled way alongwith the motorcycle without number plate on seeing the police naka party, who were chased but they left the motorcycle and fled away. The polythene bags containing 3 kg poppy straw were seized. The contraband after being seized, sample was drawn and the forensic analysis is still awaited During investigation both were arrested, who disclosed their identity as Parveen Singh @ Shanga and Jagbir Singh. 1st Additional Sessions Judge Jammu MA Choudhary after hearing Adv Rouf Lone for the applicants whereas APP Ajay Singh Manhas for the state, observed that the nature and gravity of offence, concession of bail to the applicants at this stage shall hamper the further investigation of the case as the offence committed by the applicants generally is a part of organized crime wherein some apparently invisible hands are also involved and the custodial interrogation of the applicants can help the investigating agency to reach to the kingpin of this organized crime. Taking liberal view in such matters is showing undue sympathy at the costs of the society at large. For the foregoing reasons and observations made hereinabove, the bail in my considered opinion, to the applicants cannot be granted till conclusion of the investigation. The applicants have thus come at a premature stage to seek bail.
