Early Times Report Srinagar, Jan 27: Security forces burst teargas shells and resorted to repeated lathicharge to disperse pro freedom demonstrators at Anantnag, where a shutdown was observed today against the death of a militant in an encounter at Kokernag. People, mostly youths again took to the streets at Anantnag, raising ''pro freedom'' slogans. However, when the demonstrators were moving towards main chowk, security forces deployed in strength swung into action and resorted to lathicharge to restore normalcy. Shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was also off the road. However, traffic on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway was plying normally. Work in government offices and banks was also affected while students stayed away from coaching and tuition centres.
