Traffic Police challans 118 vehicles, realizes Rs 16,750/- as fine | | | Early Times Report Samba, Feb 17: Continuing its drive against the traffic rules violations, the Traffic Police today held a special drive on National Highway Samba near Shri Chichi Mata Temple and challaned 118 vehicles besides realizing Rs 16,750 as fine from the traffic rule violators on the spot. DySP, J.S Sumbria DTI Vijay Verma and SOs (T) of Traffic Police in Samba district launched a massive drive against traffic rules violators. Special drives under the guidelines from IG Traffic and SP Rural Jammu Dushant Sharma were launched against visible offences which are the main cause for accidents including driving without Driving license, use of mobile phone while driving etc. The drive has been launched with an objective of the drive is to aware the general public and youths regarding traffic rules like wearing a helmet, avoiding overtaking, control over speed, avoiding triple riding wearing seat belts, avoiding use of tinted glasses, avoiding drunken driving and parking vehicles on pedestrian crossings roads and footpaths Meanwhile Vijay Verma DTI Traffic Samba has underlined that Police would continue to act tough against the people found violating traffic rules and drive continues said. |
