Akhnoor, Feb 17: Government Degree College, Akhnoor today organizes function on 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' here at college premises.
According to press release, former IGP SS Bijral was the chief guest on the occasion, while addressing the students he gave a call to them to be ambassador for great national cause 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' in subdivision Akhnoor of Jammu District. State Committee of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao has constituted district and block level committees in length and breadth of the state for creating mass awareness towards female foeticide that has critically disturbed Child Sex Ratio in six districts namely Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Pulwama, Anantnag and Budgam.
