Jammu, Feb 17: Rangil Singh was unanimously re-elected President of J&K Olympic Association (JKOA) for the next term of four years. This is Singh's second term at the helm of the apex body for sport in Jammu and Kashmir. The election of J&K Olympic Association (JKOA) was held today at Amar Singh Club, Jammu at 4:30 pm in which Rangil Singh was re-elected unanimously to the top chair of apex sport body. Participating members also authorized the newly elected president Singh to elect other office bearers in consultation with the other senior members. After his re-election as president JKOA, Singh assured the members to nominate other members to sports body by giving representation to all the Association within 2/3 days. In his thanksgiving address Singh told the sports association and federations to produce better results and aim for more medals by showing commitment to promote and explore the talent of sportspersons across the state. Here it needs to mention that 20 Units out of 21affiliated to J&K Olympic Association (JKOA) participated in the meeting. Among prominent present included Suresh Sharma, Observer from IOA and Shiv Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary, J&K Sports Council, Ranjit Kalra, Member standing Committee, Prof Bashir Ahmed, Member Standing Committee and Rashid Ahmed Member and International Player. Later the participating members held threadbare discussions on the agenda of meeting which included Passing of minutes of the last meeting, nod to Audit Account of the 35th National Games Kerala. |
