| Clients of under construction Mall protest against landowner | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 21: Jammu, Today there was a sudden outburst of frustration from the clients against the landowner's Amarnath Choudhary, Radheyshyam, & Mohini Devi of a mall under construction at Akhnoor Road.
The clients protested in front of their house and the land owner's kept hiding in their house and didn't dare to come forward and face the agitated clients.
When called up Amarnath Choudhary said he is not present in his house,and claimed to be with a MLC, who denied having met him when called by a mutually known friend. He rather send his employee Kaka Ram to confront and threaten the people present there. He even misbehaved with the few women in the crowd.
The mall situated at Akhnoor road is almost ready from the last two years, where around 200 people have invested. This mall is being developed by a reputed real estate company from Rajasthan in collaboration with the Amarnath Chowdhary. Due to the Article 370 prevailing in the state no Company or Person cannot purchase land in this state so the company entered into a Joint venture with Amarnath Chowdhary wherein he will provide the land and the company will develop the mall. But even after the mall being constructed on site and sold the landowners refuses to sign the sale agreements or execute the sale deed of the clients which only he is entitled to do.
Although he had himself published a notice in leading Newspapers on 22/08/15 wherein he had invited the clients to pay their dues and get their sale deeds executed. But he has not executed any registries till date, rather than insulted the clients who approached him for that matter.
Now when the clients approach the company for sale agreements and sale deeds , they repeat the same thing time and again that they have completed the mall and all the basic facilities have also been provided on site .
The company claims to have received only 40% of the investment made on the mall till date and has duly paid the 35% share to the land owners . The company also has a agreement where in it is clearly stated that Amarnath Chowdhary has received his due share from the company.
Somebody informed the media and Crime Branch regarding this meeting and the crime branch send a team under officer Parvez there as this complaint is pending in the department from the last few months. A gathering of 150 to 200 people told the special team of Crime Branch that, the company is ready to cooperate on every platform but Amarnath Chowdhary puts up one or other ingenuine demand every time . Resulting in the undue mental trauma and financial losses to the investors. The landowner is blackmailing both the company and the clients as the registries canonly be executed by the land owner.
The Crime Branch officer intervened and requested the investors to remain calm and promised them that they will not be harassed in the issues between the company and Amarnath Chowdhary anymore. He also said that there is a complaint pending against the company and Amarnath Chowdhary from the last six months ,but Amarnath Chowdhary always gives lame excuses for his absence and somehow delays the process. They also showed a notarized agreement between the two which clearly stated that they have resolved the financial disputes between them and all the dues have been paid to AmarnathChowdhary and he will immediately start executing registries of the investors.
But investors and the company are still complaining that Amarnath Chowdhary has neither signed any saleagreements or executed any sale deeds as yet. Crime Branch received a few calls regarding this meeting and other complaints against Amarnath Chowdhary have also been received telephonically regarding his involvement in cases pertaining to Land Grabbing and Land Mafia. Crime Branch has also written to the revenue department for scrutiny of different lands belonging to Amarnath Chowdhary, wherein they expect many fraudulences and illegalities.
In the end people want Amarnath Chowdhary to resolve the issues in 2 to 3 days and start executing registries else they will sit on strike in front of his residence. |
