Mehbooba praises Modi, Govt formation on cards

Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 21: The PDP has finally given the nod for government formation with its alliance partner, BJP. The government formation is likely to take place soon.
The first sign of the two parties coming together came at a party function held in Srinagar addressed by the party president Mehbooba Mufti. In her address she praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for visiting the Pakistan.
"PM Modi showed a great courage by visiting Pakistan despite many odds. The former PM Manmohan Singh couldn't visit there in his 10-yr rule despite best intentions. The earlier BJP PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the first to start again this process," said Mehbooba at the function.
It was her first statement in the praise of the PM Modi. The political observers believe that it's first sign that she has finally decided to form the government with the BJP.
"Till now she was asking the Centre to announce the CBMs, which in fact was also like questioning the sincerity of the government towards Kashmir. But, now he has for the first time after the death of the Mufti Sayeed praised Modi. And, this has happened just days after she had meeting with the Ram Madhav so it is a definite message that government formation is on the cards," said a senior BJP leader.
According to the sources, the BJP too has decided to accommodate her sticking points and process for their solution has already been started and will be made public very soon.
"Her praising the PM is also a definite sign that her meeting with the Modi is on the cards. The meeting will be the final touch on the government formation and will send the message that the Government of India stands behind her which she had wanted in her statement on Feb 2, when she called on the Governor at the Jammu," said the leader.
