| BJP betrayed people of Jammu, failed to get smart city | | | | Jammu, Feb 21: Former Minister and Vice President, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Raman Bhalla today strongly castigated the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) for betraying the people of Jammu region on all the important issues confronting the masses. Addressing a public rally at Bahu Fort here on Sunday, Raman Bhalla alleged that the so-called development agenda of the BJP, which its leaders always flashed to woo the voters during election days, has proved to be a cruel joke with the people as after forging an illogical alliance with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), nothing happened on the ground. He said that BJP's promise of getting Smart City project sanctioned for Jammu but till date it remained in doldrums as it failed to get Jammu included in the first list of 20 mart Cities announced by the Centre Government earlier this month. "BJP has always betrayed the Jammu region in all fronts and in all forms," he further lamented and added, "It always tried to polarize the situation for its vested interests." |
