Powergrid Northern Region-II starts cleanliness drive 2/22/2016 12:34:14 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 21: Powergrid Northern Region-II, which maintains and operates EHV transmission system under central sector in the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and UT Chandigarh, started this campaign today with a cleanliness drive by its employees of the areas in the vicinity of its office and Residential complex . Northern Region -II has been assigned a target of around 5000 man-hours in this year. Abhiyan takes off with Cleanliness drive by employees of POWERGRID in the vicinity of their office and Township in Jammu Powergrid has taken a giant leap forward by pledging 55,000 man-hours in year the 2016 towards fulfilling its commitment towards the national agenda of "Swachh Bharat". The cleanliness drive was led by its Executive Director, Anil Jain and was joined by all senior officers and employees posted at its Regional Head quarters at Jammu including members of Shrishti mahila Samiti. The employees enthusiastically cleaned the identified areas. Astt. Commissioner(R) Jammu Municipal Corporation, Subah Mehta was also present on this occasion. She appreciated the efforts of Powergrid Management and employees for their initiative and efforts in contributing to keep the surroundings clean. Anil Jain on this occasion advised employees to continue contributing in making India "A clean India, A Green India".
