'Revenue Deptt promotes influential, ignores qualified candidates' | | | MS Nazki Early Times report Poonch, Feb 22: Since the formation of new units, tehsils and Naibats in the districts across the state, Revenue department has failed to fill up at least 15 vacancies of Girdawars in the district while as pick and choose policy for blue eyed is being allegedly adopted by the men at helm the sources said here today. Several Girdawars have been promoted as Naib Tehsildars after State Government formed the new units in the districts including tehsils and naibats but the Revenue Department has failed to fill up the vacancies of Girdawars who were promoted, while as for these vacancies several blue eyed were picked up and promoted Girdawars, said sources alleging that the deserving lot of patwaris of 2002 batch were ignored. Ali Asgar a patwari of 2002 batch said, "People who have qualified PSC were ignored by the authorities, it is really unfortunate that blue eyed candidates were preferred over qualified ones, " he added. If Asgar is to be believed the Patwaris of 2002 batch have not been promoted to the posts of Girdawars which have fallen vacant after the formation of new Government units in the state. The vacancies were available but the deserving Patwaris were ignored by the administration, they alleged. Patwaris of 2002 batch in the district have appealed the Governor NN Vohra to intervene so that vacant posts of Girdawars in the Poonch district are filled. |
