Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 22: The delay in declaration of final result of posts of Assistant Director (Statistics) has left the aspirants fuming as contrary to tall claims of fast track recruitment, the process is struck for close to three years. The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission has reportedly finalized the result but the Court stay has compelled the Commission to withhold the process. The aspirants informed Early Times that they had appeared in the interviews from February 9thto 16th but after a week time, there was no word from the Commission on the declaration of final result. The aspirants further said that whenever they contacted JKPSC office, the Secretary simply replied that it was due to High Court stay and refused to explain.
"On one hand JKPSC is boasting of fast track recruitment but on the other, the recruitment process has been going on for the last nearly three years, mocking at the tall claims of government", an aspirant said. The Secretary of JKPSC, Shakeel-Ur-Rehman said that they have completed the process and the result was complete but due to a Court stay, Commission was under compulsion to withhold the result. "Within few days we will be approaching High Court with Urgency Memo for vacating the stay", he said, adding that whenever there would be order from Court, the result would be declared.
Pertinently, the Mains exams for the posts were held on September 6, 2015 and there was nearly three months' delay by JKPSC to announce the result of Mains.
The recruitment process started on 10/9/2013 for 28 posts of Assistant Director (Statistics). The preliminary exam was held on 23/2/2014, result of which was declared on 12/3/2014. The written examination for compulsory papers was held on 29/3/2015, while as the Mains exam held on September 6, 2015.
