Raj Bhawan, VO take cognizance of ET report | Kulgam land scam | | Saahil Suhail Early Times Report ANANTNAG, Feb 22: Governor NN Vohra and Vigilance Organization of Kashmir (VOK) has finally taken serious note of Guddar Kulgam Land scam, exposed by Early Times. Official sources told Early Times on Monday that Governor NN Vohra and Vigilance has sought a detailed report from District Commissioner Kulgam. "We received a letter from Raj Bhawan along with cutting of your Early Times reports published on February 3rd and 4th," a senior official confirmed, adding Vigilance has also sought a report in this regard. He said that one man committee constituted by Deputy Commissioner Kulgam has already completed investigation and is about to submit the report. "Committee will surely submit its report and findings to Deputy Commissioner Kulgam once he joins back as currently he is on leave," officer added. Sources said that a detailed reports will be sent to Raj Bhawan and Vigilance Organization for further course of action. Its pertinent to mention that Early Times is the only newspaper that exposed the Gudder Land scam. On 3rd and 4th of this month, Early Times published to two reports titled 'Kulgam Land Scam- CEO Integrated Watershed Management Program tops beneficiary list' Bashir Ahmad Khan (KAS) who heads Integrated Watershed Management Program-a center sponsored program- had been allotted over 90 Kanals of State land after changing the nature of the same. KAS officer, who has enjoyed top and prized postings in previous NC-Congress regime, tops the beneficiary list of infamous Guddar Kulgam land scam Official sources revealed that during the preliminary investigation it came to fore that the revenue authorities have changed the nature of over 500 Kanals of State land during settlement process and have managed to register State land under 5 that was registered under section 4 of the Act.
