Early Times Report

Reasi, Feb 22: The government's promised e-Governance plan is yet to take off in several departments of the state whereas in some cases it has fallen flat in the hand of high level bureaucrats who used to visit their websites occasionally.
Similar was the case of the website of Reasi administration as the contact directory available online for the visitors who wish to contact any of the official of the district is providing a wrong information as well as contacts.
Pertinently the website of the Reasi administration is till date showing some of the office bearers working in the departments even after 3 months of their Transfer.
The problem with the updation of the website has left several Right to Information (RTI) activists and other concerned in dilemma about whom to contact about their grievances as other than the Deputy Commissioner Reasi, almost all names and contact details of the officials of the Districts as well as different divisions of the department of the district is same as it was in the previous year.
As per information with Early Times, most of the officials of the District such as AD Consumer public distribution are still not updated as even after being transferred to other district while some of the columns of the office bearers are left blank as if none is holding the office.
Despite all this, even the contact details of the many officers of the Administration are not available with the website and those which are available are not all correct as the contact detail of AD CAPD in the website is wrong as the website is showing Seema Parihar as AD CAPD Reasi district, but in fact the same was transferred to district Kishtwar about 4 months past and is presently holding office there.
An official of Reasi district when contacted put all the blaims over District Informatics officer (NIC) Reasi.
While an NIC official pleading anonymity when contacted by Early Times shared, "we only update the details on the basis of the inputs given by the administration and NIC is not at fault".
