PDP worker gets PHC Chadoora shifted

Srinagar, Feb 22: : Reflecting misuse of political power in Kashmir, a political worker managed to shift a PHC in his accommodation thus snatching the bread and butter of a poor family in Chadoora in Budgam district.
The health department has rented two rooms to run its PHC in Chadoora for Rs 150 per month. .
However, the concerned department shifted the PHC to the accommodation of Muhammad Akber Bhat, a political worker. The department even failed to put the poor family on notice. It has been learnt that the concerned department was directed by the politicians to shift the PHC because Bhat and his brother are associated with PDP," the aggrieved Ghulam Nabi Parray told Early Times A copy of Documents vide number BMOC/1551-22, dated 07/12/2015 handed over to Ghulam Nabi Parray by Health Department accessed by Early Times reads that 'PHC which was functioning in the house of Parray was shifted in the house of Muhammad Akabr Bhat on the directions of Higher Authorities.'
Documents details also reads that copy of agreement signed with owner of house cannot be made available as official records of the concerned Health centre are with vigilance organization Kashmir. Family members of Parray said that they approached former Minister for agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone twice immediately after concerned authorities shifted PHC from their House but of no use as he paid deaf ear to their repeated requests. They alleged that Bhat snatched their revenue means after using political influence with the help of his brother who is known for having strong political contacts in the area. Locals of Kathirgund said that PHC was functioning in the house of Ghulam Nabi Parray from past 30 years and was a means of revenue for family of Parray who works as Casual labour in Public Health engineering (PHE) department. Meanwhile repeated attempts to reach Concerned Chief Medical officer for his comments went in vain as no contact could be made with him.
