‘BJP resorting to allurements, unethical means to forge alliance with PDP' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 22 : Inculpating the BJP for resorting to unscrupulous practices to lure PDP for forging a re-alliance, NPP dubbed the attempt of Saffron Party to 'seal the deal' as immoral and unethical in a press conference at Jammu today. While speaking to media, Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and former Education Minister said that the BJP seemed to be desperate for cobbling up once again with its ex-ally by hook or by crook without realizing the trauma which the people of Jammu were going through. He said that "returning to power" was the only objective of the Saffron party as it was well conscious about its eroding mass base in the region due to persistent acts of betrayal, treachery and subterfuge. He maintained that since the PDP was reluctant and had expressed its antipathy to form the government for non implementation of Agenda of Alliance which though favoured the political interests of Kashmir, BJP was reportedly resorting to horse trading, offering allurements and other corrupt practices to woo its former partner. He urged upon the Governor to recommend the dissolution of the State's Assembly without any further delay and maintained that the prevalent political situation in the State warrants holding of fresh elections so that the people could once again elect a popular government with their will and without any fear. Singh was accompanied by Gagan Pratap Singh General Secretary & Spokesman Young Panthers during the press conference. |
