DSS, JKESL to pay homage to martyr soldiers | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 26: J&K Ex- Services League and the Dogra Sadar Sabha have decided to pay homage to the Martyrs of the Armed Forces i.e. Army, Navy and Air Force who lay down their lives in J&K State and also to the Dogra Soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation. The first homage ceremony will be performed at the Balidan Stambh, Bahu Wali Rakh at 6.00 pm on Saturday 27th Feb. 2016 to remember the martyrs of Pampore, Kashmir who laid down their lives last week. One of them was great Dogra, Captian Tushar Mahajan of the 9 Para Commandos from Udhampur. The Dogras of Jammu are well known for their Marshal spirit and the soldiery qualities. They are grateful to the soldiers of this Great Nation who have sacrificed their lives for the country and in the defence of the state including 26 years of militancy whose names are enshrined in the Balidan Stambh Memorial. To show our appreciation and solidarity with them and the nation, in their grief, the Dogras of Jammu and the Veterans have decided to pay homage to all such Martyrs.
