| National conference organized at GDC Kathua | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Feb 26 : A two day National Conference on topic "Role of Mathematics and Computer Science in Advancement of Physics" was inaugurated in Government Degree College Kathua in which Prof. S K Jain Vice- Chancellor SMVDU was the Chief Guest. In his inaugural address Prof. S. K. Jain said that the aim of the conference is to highlight the contribution of mathematics and computers for the development of physics. It is hoped that the galaxy of intellectuals, experts and faculty members from different colleges, Jammu University, SMVD University, BGB university and from colleges and universities from outside the state would definitely contribute in making this event a memorable one by contributing their researches on the said field.
Prof. Arun Bharti from University of Jammu delivered key note address. In his address he correlated mathematics and computer science with physics. Earlier Principal of the college Dr. Nater Singh in his welcome address highlighted the various achievements of the college particularly the accreditation of the college with NAAC "A" grade.
He said that the organizing of such conferences shall definitely give exposure the faculty and students of the college as they shall get an opportunity of interacting with the teachers and researchers from different institutes. |
