No end to Aadhar Card woes of people

Jammu, Mar 11: Despite government as well as semi-government authorities have been compelling the citizens to produce the Aadhar card for getting various benefits but in Jammu making the card is being proved a difficult task, as after get themselves repeatedly registered and get their photographs clicked many seekers have been reportedly failed to get the card for years.
An employee of school education department Amar Singh informed Early Times that in their department also all the employees had been asked to produce their Aadhar card for release of their salaries.
"It appears that Aadhar is a compulsory provision and not a voluntary provision and higher officials are also enforcing the compulsory provision", Singh said, adding that for the pension scheme also Aadhar was made compulsory.
Raising finger over the process of making Aadhar card, he further said that in the last two years, he had gotten his photographs clicked thrice and registered his family in various offices in Jammu city, but still his family didn't get the Aadhar card.
"Even, I had approached to head office of Aadhar card Trikuta Nagar but the female official present there had asked me to re-registered in Krishna Nagar centre and when I went to here for registration they gave me a date of next month", he said, adding that on one hand for release of salary, authorities were demanding card and on the other it was not possible to get Aadhar card after registering thrice and in that cycle.
Another citizen Urmila Devi said that for getting LPG gas subsidy in 2016, the agency owners have asked to produce Aadhar card, otherwise subsidy would not be given. She said that they have applied for the Aadhar card but after getting the photographs clicked twice, same is not made.
"In August 2014, he had submitted their details and clicked photographs at Migrant High School, Roopnagar but unfortunately lapse of more than a year he didn't received the Aadhar", another government employee standing in line at Janipur said.
She further said that the Supreme Court of India in previous year had observed that Adhar card was a purely voluntary and mandatory provision and authorities cannot insist on a citizen to produce her Aadhar card. They further said that the use of card in all types of pension schemes, provident fund, LPG subsidy, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Gurantee Act and newly scheme Prime Minister Jan Dan Yojana but the agency concern who made the card not serious to made card in single visit.
