Early Times Report jammu, Mar 11: An IPS officer, who was being victimised by a senior officer for no fault of his, has finally got a 'significant' posting in Jammu without the consent of police headquarters (PHQ). The officer did not like him because he never visited his office to salute him or to pay him 'namstay'. This attitude of the IPS officer developed a disliking for him in the heart of the senior officer who had made it a point not to give him an important posting anywhere in the State, police sources said. The IPS officer knew it, but instead of approaching PHQ, he utilised the services of his acquaintances in New Delhi. Sources said at the instance of his 'acquaintances', the State Home Department ordered his transfer along with other officers in the recent past and posted him in an important police wing in Jammu. Sources said it was mentioned in his transfer order that he was being shifted against the wishes of PHQ. "He has served in Jammu earlier also. He was also once posted in Kashmir," sources informed, saying the senior officer disliked him so much that he even hated visiting the area where he used to be posted earlier. His work was never appreciated by the senior officer. His transfer was nowadays a topic of discussion in State police circles because it did not have the PHQ consent, sources said. |
