Jammu, Mar 12 : Five days long first Aid Training programme for commercial vehicle drivers today concluded. According to press release, the programme was organized by Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu under the aegis of St. John Ambulance Association at Red Cross Bhawan from March 8-12, 2016. More than 60 Drivers, Conductors of Commercial vehicles of Delhi Public School, Jammu took part in the said training. The Training has been made mandatory for Commercial Vehicle Drivers in order to save the precious lives during un -toward accidents. The training was imparted by the well versed and Senior Doctors namely Dr. Rajinder Thappa, Chief Causality Officer of Government SMGS Hospital, Jammu, Dr. Munish, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Rohini Bhan and Dr. Kavita Nijohn, Medical Officers of Red Cross Dispensary besides Dr. B. Tasneem. R C Puri, Hony. Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region Jammu also gave detailed presentation about the First Aid Training and impressed upon the trainers to provide necessary First Aid to the injured during any eventuality. He appealed to the general public particularly the youth to come forward and take part in the said First Aid Training which is being imparted under the aegis of St. John Ambulance Association. |
