Mendhar, Mar 29 : A group of influential miscreants allegedly have been grabbing the Evacuee property (EP) land measuring 12 kanal at prime location bearing Kh No. 188 of village Goladh Mendhar worth crores of rupees located in front of Sub District Office Complex Mendhar.
Pertinent to mention as per order No3616-17 dated 12/03/2016, the Custodian Evacuee property Jammu has directed to stop the illegal construction if any being raised on spot.
"Another order No CG(EP) 711-13/2016 dated 24/03/2016 issued by the Custodian General J&K Jammu directed to take immediate necessary steps with regard to stopping of illegal construction raised by the miscreants but local as well as District Administration is totally fail in execution of both the orders, some local resented. Despite these orders, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch M H Malik also has constituted a team to remove and stop the illegal construction from encroached land.
"But no action has been taken so far in compliance to the above said order, members of civil society said and added that the construction is still going on and that too with the alleged connivance of big fish of local administration and the land grabbers.
The members of civil society Mendher have demanded strict action against encroachers to save the Evacuee Property (EP) and state land as well from falling into the hands of some vested interest elements. |
