Jammu, Mar 29: Around two hundred and seventy investors have allegedly been duped of Crores of rupees by the fake construction companies, Royal Palms and Ansal Buildwell. However, the Crime Branch Jammu has taken a serious note of the matter and has registered two cases against these companies and their owners.
Crime Branch booked one Amar Nath Choudhary s/o Ch Jagat Ram, Radhay Shayam s/o Amar Nath, Mohni Devi w/o Amar Nath, all residents of Canal Road Jammu along with M/S Ridhi Sidhi infra Projects Pvt Ltd- the company developing residential flats in the name and style of Royal Palms at Akhnoor Road Jammu, under section 420,406/120 B RPC after one of the investors Nisha Malik r/o Hyderpora, Srinagar lodged complaint that she was duped of Rs 26,13,170 as after paying amount the owners are not providing legal documents and possession of 2BHK flats she had booked. However, during investigation, CB realized that not only she there are two hundred other investors who have been duped of Crores of rupees.
During investigation, the Crime Branch found out that the company was being run by non state subjects and its owners were not in a position to buy or sell any property in JK. After minting money amounting to crores, the accused hatched a criminal conspiracy to swindle the money of the investors leaving their clients high and dry.
Apart from two hundred cases, there are seventy other persons who have been duped of crores of rupees at by the Ansal Buildwell- the developer company and accordingly, Crime Branch Jammu registered a case against Kulbhushan Gupta, owner of Sansar Group of Industries, who had taken money from the people but did not give the possession of houses in the Ansal flats at Marble Market near Satyam Resorts.
According to Crime Branch, Association of Florence Apartments through Harmeen Kour Soodan, wife of Pavandeep Singh Soodan of Nanak Nagar lodged a complaint with the Crime Branch mentioning that Ansal Buildwell Ltd in partnership with Kulbhushan Gupta, owner of Sansar Group of Industries of 117-A/D, Gandhi Nagar jointly launched multi-storey housing project on the name of Florence Apartments on Satyam Road, Trikuta Nagar Extension in 2008.
The complainants booked their flats as per the prescribed price list and plan of payment but till date they have not been provided the legal possession of the flats/properties despite having made the payment since the last 5-7 years. It was also mentioned in the complaint that the accused even after receiving crores of rupees from the complainants have not completed the project and are finding ways and means to harass the complainants by threatening them through their paid musclemen and depriving them of their right to possession of their respective flats in furtherance of a criminal conspiracy.
On the receipt of this complaint, a preliminary verification was initiated in Crime Branch and the allegations leveled by the complainants were found true. It also came to fore that accused Kulbushan Gupta has cheated and duped about 65-70 aggrieved senior citizens of Jammu including the complainants, who are in need of accommodation, by continuously harassing and depriving them of their right to property on one or the other pretext and swindling crores of rupees by criminally misappropriating the same on his personal use.
After completing the investigation, Crime Branch registered a case under Sections 420, 406 RPC against Kulbhushan Gupta. |
