JAMMU, Mar 29: A 'powerful' police Inspector has managed four 'choice' postings in the last two months, making a mockery of the J&K government's transfer policy.
From PCR here, he was transferred on January 30 last to Udhampur-Reasi range. Though he joined his duties after several days of his transfer to the range, no disciplinary action was initiated against him by the senior officers, police sources said.
Sources said after he ultimately joined the UR range, he was posted in Reasi district as SHO of a far-flung police station. When his seniors did not post him at the police station of his choice, he got himself transferred to Udhampur, hoping to replace a KPS officer who was posted as probationary SHO of an important police station, the sources added.
Soon after he joined Udhampur district, he was posted as SHO of the important police station, replacing the probationary KPS officer, sources informed.
"The Inspector is so powerful and well-connected that he managed his four choice transfers in two months, making a mockery of the state government's transfer policy," sources asserted. |
