Kathua, Mar 29: National Council for Urban and Rural Development Society (NCURDS) on Tuesday organized workshop for teachers on life science here at Government Higher Secondary School, Kathua.
The second day activities started with a brief report of the previous day work by Kuldeep Gupta, Master Government High School, Simbal camp after taking the feedback from various participants of the workshop. Later on Jawaid Alam, Resource Person from Patna, Bihar accompanied by Antriksh Singh, District Coordinator, Samba performed various "hands on Activities" on making best utilization of non biodegradable Wastes/refuses which were collected by the participants on the previous day, such as plastic bottles, tin container, fused bulbs, fused tubes, thermocol container, waste drip set and many more. While terming Vemicompost of utmost importance for students as teaching learning material, A training for making vermicarium (for Vermi-compost and Vermi-culture) was imparted to the participants and all the participants took keen interest in doing work with their own hands. |
