Onus on Mehbooba Mufti to safeguard secular fabrics of state: NC | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Mar 29: Former Vice President Municipal Committee Kishtwar and National Conference Provincial Secretary Nusrat Farooq Bagban said that the secular forces in both the communities who had voted against the BJP in Parliament as well as in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections are feeling threatened. Bagban said that the people are feeling harassed ahead of formation of PDP-BJP government in Jammu and Kashmir to be headed by PDP President Mehbooba Mufti. She further said that that the onus is now on Mehbooba Mufti to safeguard the rights of all those people who voted against divisive politics of BJP. In a press statement issued today, Bagban said that though PDP president chose to ally with communal forces for the sake of the power, the majority of the people living in all the three regions of the state believe in communal harmony and coexistence with each other. She said that though BJP manage to win public support in elections by communalizing the situation, but said that those people who voted for PDP and BJP in recent election had realized their mistake. |
