Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 29: While interacting with a deputation of Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) RK Pandita assured the deputationists that Migrant Kashmiri Pandits will get their monthly ration quota as per 'old scale.'
His assurance came when a deputation led by Sunil Pandita a social activist along with Vijay Koul and other relief holders today called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) RK Pandita in his office chamber.
The deputationists apprised the officer in chair about several problems being faced by exiled community particularly the distribution of monthly ration which was delayed for the last two months due to imposition of NFSA in the state.
However Pandita told the deputation that the migrant relief holders will be provided monthly ration as per old scale viz-a-viz 9 kgs rice, 2 kg flour, per soul and 1 kg sugar per family every month. "And in this regard the order will be issued within a day or so," he maintained.
The deputation has welcomed Pandita's decision which will help community to heave the sigh of relief.
