| JMC seals premises | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 29: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JCM) sealed illegal showroom in Gandhi Nagar, on Tuesday.
According to press release, on the instruction of Mandeep Kaur, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation and under the supervision of RS Jamwal, Joint Commissioner the Enforcement Staff led by the Enforcement Officer JMC sealed the premises at 783 A Gandhi Nagar, Jammu .
The owner Sharda Gupta had furnished an affidavit to use the premises for residential purpose but on spot a Readymade Garments Showroom was being run under the name of M/S Ram Krishan & Sons in violation of the land use of the area from residential to commercial one.
The said illegal construction seriously effects the planned development of Jammu City and contravenes the zoning regulation and also the said commercial activity causes traffic problems in the vicinity much to the inconvenience of the neighbourers residing in the locality.
The action has been taken under section 8 (1) of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation appealed to General Public to refrain from making encroachments and unauthorized constructions otherwise action as admissible under rule leading to demolition / sealing will be taken. |
