TSO Mendhar in shambles 3/31/2016 11:27:46 PM MS NAZKI Early Times Report Poonch, Mar 31: Tehsil Supply Office (TSO) in Mendhar has been constantly the victim of the Government apathy as it continues to be in shambles. Sources said the Mendhar TSO is one of the oldest office in the area and it has been neglected by the successive regimes due to which building housing the office has become unsafe. The Government building is in dilapidated condition and it's like an old godown which can collapse anytime. The condition of ration stores in the areas under this office is no different. The dealers make fortunes by giving underweight ration to the consumers. Though the Government has made the use of Electric balance mandatory in the stores for weighing purposes, the officials use edible oil empty tins for measuring the food grains. The 15 ltr edible oil tin is filled with rice and given to consumer measuring equal to 15kgs by this way they give underweight material to gullible consumer. The TSOs of Mankote and Balakote run from rented buildings. The condition of these two offices is not also satisfactory. Meanwhile youth club Mendhar president Advocate Nadeem Ahmed Khan has urged the Director CAPD Jammu to take the stock of situation of these tehsil supply offices in Mendhar and initiate some measures to make their condition better, he added.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
