| I&FC official violates LAWDA secrecy | | | Majid Nabi

Srinagar, Mar 31: Enjoying patronage of higher-ups, a top official in Irrigation and Flood Control department (I&FC) has been illegally checking secret documents of Lakes and waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) despite being transferred before two weeks.
If reliable sources in LAWADA are to be believed, an Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) who recently was transferred by Commissioner Secretary LAWDA from LAWDA Index Dalgate on Governors orders instead of discharging her work at her new office has been illegally checking documents of her previous workplace.
Sources said that AEE who has been transferred from LAWDA to Chief Engineer I&FC office has been regularly without any substantiation checking important documents of LAWDA.
"She is enjoying patronage of higher-ups else she has no authentication to visit and then check the documents of LAWDA as she has been transferred to other department. This is the height of nepotism and corruption which needs to be investigated," sources told 'Early Times'.
They said the new official who has been posted at LAWDA Index Dalgate has been performing his duties while as the previous one has been unnecessarily poking her nose in office affairs which is unethical.
"She is using her approach with LAWDA higher-ups who too throwing all the norms to winds are supporting her in her wrongdoings, by checking documents she is violating laws and as far as her transfer is to I&FC department is concerned she is doing a crime for which she entitles departmental action," sources added.
They said that the ex AEE who has now been transferred to I&FC department is musing official documents of LAWDA and signing present work in previous date to provide benefits to her known people in lieu of money.
"These are money minting tactics else she has no legal authority to check official documents, she is enjoying due support of some top 'Babus', if the Governor had ordered her transfer then he should look into the issue as to how and in which capacity she checks official papers on regular basis,'' they said.
Sources said that besides hampering official affairs she also acts as a stumbling block in others work. "Since she has been transferred to I&FC department we don't think she would have visited her new work place even once". |
