JAMMU, Mar 31 : Instead of initiating disciplinary action against her, the police headquarters (PHQ) has ordered the cancellation of transfer order of a woman police SI after four years of her attachment to the main office. The woman SI was transferred from IRP 15 Bn to police training academy, Udhampur, in 2012. She decided against joining there as a result of which she was attached to the main office, police sources said.
She remained attached for four long years, but no disciplinary action was initiated against her for not joining her duties, the sources added.
"Now, after four years, she has managed to get her transfer order cancelled. According to this order, she would continue to serve in IRP 15 Bn," sources said.
"The new order says her 2012 transfer order was being cancelled as she had some domestic problems," the sources added. She is the second woman police officer who has received favours from PHQ in the recent past. |
