MPEJ criticizes Government order on fee structure | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 7: The members of Movement for Peace Equality and Justice today have criticized the Government Order No- 98 Edu. Of 2016 dated:-24-03-2016 regarding regulation of fee structure of private un-aided schools, alleging that the government has issued this order on insubstantial grounds and misinterpretations of certain judicial dictums. They said that only the Government can provide free and Quality Education because highly paid and highly qualified teachers are working in Government Schools. But the people have lost their faith in Government Schools due to non-performance of its teaching staff. The government owned schools have failed because their own children are studying in highly paid private Schools and the majority among private sector have to face time-pass arrangements then where are the claims of our rulers and politicians who often promise of good/free education? Private sector Schools have no government aid and for a quality education, those have to recruit qualified Teachers against a little unattractive amount maintenance of infrastructure against a little strength of students. Educated unemployed youth involved in private schools feel frustrated because of very low grade salary. About 80 percent private sector schools have to sustain against low category Fee Structure because of defunct monitoring of government and weak economical conditions of public, this clearly shows that needed academic growth is overall missing. They urged the Education Minister, Nayeem Akhter to personally intervene into the matter in resolving the most urgent and immediate burning demands of the private Schools. The demands include, the joint inspection conducted by Jammu and Kashmir, state BOSE and Education Department and joint committee of Recognition/Affiliation of BOSE and Education Department may be treated as final for granting extension of recognition/affiliation schools. Requiring separate order of extension of recognition from Secretariat causes un-necessary delay coupled with harassment and hence a clear cut policy needs to be framed and orders may please be issued in this behalf to relieve the private schools of great mental tension and harassment, and also fix slab of time period of affiliation not less than 5 years, they said. |
