Health Deptt tighten noose around aides of former mantri | Medical shops established in city hospitals closed | | Avinash Azad Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 7: The Health a Medical Education Department has started tightening its noose around a few businessmen close to former health minister Chaudary Lal Singh. The department on Thursday issued an order to close down three medical shops opened a few days ago in the premises of three major hospitals across the Jammu city. Sources told Early Times that orders to close down these shops have been issued to clip the wings of the close aides of the former Health minister. Sources said that prior to formation of new state government, the over confident right hand of the former Health minister in connivance with some doctors holding administrative posts in GMC and associated hospitals worked overtime to establish these medical stores to please their master. "Under name Sehyog Pharmacy three medical stores at Super Specialty Hospitality, Government Medical College and Hospital and Psychiatric hospital were established a few days back on instructions of the then powerless unofficial health minister", sources said, and added that since the 'arrogant' man has his workers in hospitals he secured prime locations in these hospitals without any trouble. They said, "Paradoxically, the powerful lobby in GMC, without fearing anybody had established the shop in the hospital premises one day before formation of new government in state", they said. " However on Thursday afternoon GMC authorities asked the shop owner to vacate the shop forthwith." |
