DyCM didn't meet us: NIT students | Govt orders probe; Police register 2 FIRs, release video | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Apr 7: The situation inside the NIT Srinagar campus remained volatile even on Thursday, while the students claimed that Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh who visited Srinagar today didn't meet any of the students and met the NIT Director only. A group of protesting students while talking to Early Times said, "We came to know that Deputy Chief Minister arrived in Srinagar this afternoon. He met the Director and ordered an enquiry into the matter. The inquiry committee will be headed by the Additional Magistrate." "It's really unfortunate that Dr Nirmal Singh made a statement without meeting students. He didn't meet any of the students, who were injured after being assaulted by JK policemen. He said that on academic security front the NIT Chairman who is on a visit to institute from Delhi has been holding interactions with the students, who would soon come to some conclusion and sort out the matter.
