Jammu, Apr 7: The Government Degree College Bishnah today organized a special lecture on 'World Health Day' here at college campus.
According to press release, the main aim to organize the lecture to generate awareness regarding 'Beat Diabetes' and the function was organized under the supervision of Prof. Archana Bakshi.
Dr Rakesh Anand from Sub-district Hospital, Bishnah was the guest speaker who made the students and staff aquainted with various health problems in general and diabetes in particular.
He stressed upon the students to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle along with personal hygiene to combat various lifestyle diseases including diabetes.
He added that daily workout, avoiding junk food, limited sugar intake and stress free attitude should be adopted. Prof Preeti Dogra, Assistant Prof presented vote of thanks on the occasion. |
