Poonch, May 5: Inhabitants of Kamal Dheri locality of Bandi Chechyan, Poonch, have alleged that they have been without drinking water for the past some time.
They said they had to travel long distances to fetch drinking water as the PHE department had failed to make them available this basic facility of life. Though they had time and again taken up the matter with local political leaders, they too had not come to their rescue, alleged Mohammad Sadiq Chouhan, a local.
Locals appealed to the Poonch Deputy Commissioner to come to their rescue by directing the authorities concerned to provide them drinking water at the earliest.
They also alleged that at some place in the locality, overhead electric wires had been hanging loosely and touching trees. |
